Plymouth, Minnesota is a suburb of Minneapolis on the west northwest side. It straddles the North southbound Highway 494, lies north of 394 and is entirely West of Highway 169 as that is its easternmost border. Highways 55 and nine are also some main thoroughfares through the city. Plymouth is considered a second ring, community, as it does not directly touch Minneapolis, but is one city removed. There are Plymouth Minnesota homes that were built as early as the 1850s, but the bulk of the construction did not really take off until the late 1970s and into the 80s and steady through the 90s. Given this diverse growth period, you can find a variety of architectural styles and sizes in homes.

Plymouth real estate has been a strong and steady growth market and is noted to contain some very beautiful lakes, parks, preserves, and wildlife. Some of the more noteworthy areas can be found around Plymouth’s popular lakes: Bass Lake, Schmidt Lake, Medicine Lake, Turtle Lake, Parkers Lake, Gleason Lake, Mooney Lake, Hadley Lake, and Pomerleau Lake. In most of these areas, you can find abundant walking hiking and bike paths to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Wildlife aside, most property for sale in Plymouth neighborhoods a very convenient access to retail and other modern conveniences as well. There is a large centrally located retail area off the intersection of Highway 55 and cross street Vicksburg. Here you’ll find most everything you need for shopping dining and entertainment, but if not, there are other restaurants and smaller retail strip malls and whatnot throughout Plymouth or head less than a mile south of the Plymouth border to another large retail mecca, Ridgedale located off highways 494 and 394.

Plymouth’s population is currently right around 70,000 people, making it the seventh largest city in Minnesota and is roughly 35 square miles in size and has a population density of just over it. That’s 2000 people per square mile.
